Hi Again...

About a month ago I uploaded my Sims 3 version of the Family Guy house. After going through some pictures, however, I realized the second floor layout was completely wrong. I tried to let it slide, but it kept bothering me. So for this version, I fixed the second floor so the layout was as true to the show as I could make it.

There are things that I just couldn't do with the small size of the house. For example, I am pretty sure that the second floor bathroom is actually supposed to be between Stewie's room and his parent's room. but the small size of the house made putting the bathroom there virtually impossible (Peter and Lois' room would have been much too small if I had put the bathroom there). Eventually I figured out that Meg's bedroom door and Chris' bedroom door are nearly right across the hall from each other, (instead of the doors facing the same way as I had it in the first version), but this meant I had to shape the rooms slightly differently than they might appear in the show. Despite the rooms not being perfectly shaped, I think I did a good job staying true to the show.

I moved the archways for the kitchen, dining room and den over a few squares - this allowed me to put a half-bathroom on the first floor! Having only one bathroom in the whole house really bothered me before, so I was glad to get at least another half-bath in there somewhere. One more difference is that the bedrooms are more detailed than before. I really like how all the bedrooms turned out - even though Meg's room ended up significantly bigger than Peter and Lois' room and Stewie's room is much smaller than it is on the show. Sometimes there is just nothing you can do to solve those problems (believe me, I tried!)

This new verson also has windows from University Life instead of the base-game ones I used before. The new windows looks much better than how they were before, I think. Generations is used pretty heavily, and Seasons has a few pieces as well, but nothing drastic. Just keep that in mind before downloading. Small items from Ambitions and the piano from Late Night are also featured in this house, as well.

Anyway, I really hope you like this new version! I am going to take the first one down - I am sick of seeing my mess-ups.
