In an unmodded game, a salesperson hired on a business lot (introduced in Open for Business) works according to the following rules:
  • first, they try to find a buying customer to perform a sales interaction (Sales.../Basic Sell, /Offer At, /Hard Sell, /Dazzle),
  • if they can't find a buying customer, they look for a confused customer to help them (Sales.../May I Help You?).
As a result, confused Sims are often ignored. This negatively affects the business rank.

With this mod, the nicer salespeople are, the more likely they are to help customers first:
  • a salesperson having 0 niceness points has a 10% chance of picking a customer who needs help first (and 90% of picking a buying customer),
  • each niceness point increases the chance by 10 percentage points,
  • for a salesperson having 9 or more niceness points, a customer who needs help is always the first choice.
If there are no customers who need help, a salesperson looks for a buying customer instead, and vice versa.
