04 Apartment Lane [NL] - Four apartments, under 80.000
Category: Lots & Housing > Residential
Cost: 78.079
Lot size: 3x2
Households: 4
Nightlife expansion required.
Custom content included: Invisible Driveway, by roddyaleixo
Description:
Modern apartment house with two 1-room and two 3-room flats -- the larger ones are suitable for families, the small ones for singles or couples only (so your sim/s could start out in a small apartment and then move over to a big one once they start a family). Two apartments -- a small and a large one -- are furnished, the other two only contain plumbing and some basic fixtures. The family apartments each have a large balcony; the house has a basement with one big room and two small compartments as well as a garden terrace in the back; two driveways and two cars are included. Some landscaping/decoration.
Basic appliances included in the furnished apartments: lights, toilet (expensive), shower or tub, fridge, kitchen sink, phone, burglar alarm, smoke detector, trash can, bookshelf. The large apartment also has a toaster oven, a TV, a dresser and a chess board, the small one a coffee machine.
Recommended hacks:
You need to assign the doors somehow so that your sims know which apartment is theirs. I think if you have OfB you can use the locking doors funcionality for that, otherwise get hold of Inge Jones' lockable doors or access management system (formerly simlogical.com) or use the "Smart Door" hack by tunaisafish (untested by me, but seems to work nicely + is well-maintained). I also like to use Inge's Mortgage/Rent shrubs for this kind of house.
Note:
If you get an "expansion pack data required" error upon installation, use Clean Installer instead of the Maxis one. Apparently this is a known issue (not specific to this download), see this thread describing the problem and this post (daysies) explaining the workaround.
Enjoy!

Install Instructions
1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
