SimWardrobe's Vocation Trainer Revamped

Background
Back before 2010, SimWardrobe made some of the most useful objects and fixes for Sims 2. One of my favorite has to be his Vocational Training Center, as it allows Sims to teach others skills and badges. Unfortunately, the original was never updated to include badges from Seasons and Free Time, and I somehow remained unaware of any other edits somewhere out there amongst Simblrs even as I was finishing up my edit.

My version was gradually built up from simply allowing all 7 skills and 11 badges to be taught, with limited chatting, to a rather grandiose pile-up with adjustable gain rates, chat modes and requirements - a perfect tool for both learning and ordered socialization.


Features
Subjects
  • All 7 skills teachable
  • All 11 badges across 3 EPs teachable
  • To be eligible for teaching, the minimum skill point is 8 and the minimum badge level is gold. (Adjustable in-game)
  • Both badge and skill gain rates are enhanced by the teacher's Logic and Charisma, in equal parts. (300% maximum for both, with all factors included)
  • Skill gain rate also depends on the serious personality.
  • Badge gain rate also depends on the associated skill.
  • Skill and badge gain rates adjustable in-game

Teacher and Students
  • Social gain, Fun loss and Comfort loss while teaching
  • Social gain is increased the less shy and more outgoing the teacher is.
  • Fun loss is lessened the nicer the teacher is.
  • Fun loss becomes gain if the teacher is nice. (7+)
  • The teacher still gains Charisma skill while teaching.
  • Social gain and Fun loss while studying, both personality independent
  • Fun loss can be mitigated by teacher's current Charisma as soon the student starts studying.
  • Fun loss can be turned into gain if the teacher has high Charisma. (7+)

Class Chat
  • Class chat comes in 3 modes: disallowed, "Take-Turn-Talk", and "Chaotic Chattery"
  • Class chat allows for earning STR for both the teacher and students.
  • The default "Take-Turn-Talk" has each student wait for their turn to speak up, and after doing so, earn STR with everyone in the class, and vice versa.
  • The old "Chaotic Chattery" lets students chat to their hearts' content. Unreliable, but effective for small class

What Else?
  • Class billing reworked with adjustable earning (state-paid)
  • Enthusiasm gain, depending on the subject being taught and can be disabled.
  • Evict seat thief - anyone not assigned to the textbook will be forced to leave the chair.
  • Less age restriction - children can be teachers and students.
  • Adjustable parameters, these are: skill & badge rates, teaching requirements, enthusiasm gaining, class chat, and class billing.
  • Adjustable parameters are per-podium basis, can be reverted to default or applied to other podiums.
  • Heavy usage of BCONs that can be modified through SimPE to your likings.

The buyable objects in the set have been renamed as SimWardrobe Vocation Trainer Podium ($3,899) and SimWardrobe Vocation Trainer Textbook ($89). There is also an alternate model based on Pescado's conversion costing more ($4,599). All are found in Hobbies -> Knowledge and have fairly normal descriptions.



Issues
Charisma factor is not dynamic as it is not automatically updated. While the teachers gain Charisma, their impact on teaching efficiency and Fun loss will remain the same as when the class started. Restarting the class helps.
