Custom content: frillen's invisible driveway didn't get packaged with the lot, so I included it as a separate file. Put in your downloads folder before attempting to play this lot. The 4esf ceiling rim is included with explicit permission from the creator; it's also covered by their redistribution policy as of 2007-12-08.
Description:
Starter house with private beach, sparsely furnished for 1-2 sims with one spare room.
1 x double bedroom
2 x bathroom
1 x kitchen/dining/living room
1 x spare room (empty)
All basics included; one driveway included (but no car).
The swimmable sea is made with Invisible Floortiles by the wonderful frillen -- sims can swim in the neighbourhood water like in a pool (they don't sink in), on a swimmable area that is seamless on all sides and casts no shadow. The diving animation is a bit glitchy -- sims clip through the diving board when they jump --, but since this part of the animation goes by very fast in-game, I don't consider it a major issue. Thanks frillen, this is great!
Made along the lines of this tutorial.
Please note that this is a sloped lot -- it must be placed at a shore in order for the swimmable sea to work. The left edge of the lot (seen from the street) is 100% straight, so you can place a flat lot next to it on that side. Works well with the Middleground terrain ("NhoodView" screenshot is taken in Middleground) or any other one that has a similar slope between road and shoreline.
Compatibility:
Non-NL users will have to replace a fence and won't have a driveway; other than that it should work with any EP from NL onwards. No warranties for BV -- I have no idea whether or not neighbourhood water behaves differently in BV, and I don't have BV so I can't test that.
Lot Size: 2x3
Lot Price: 19.990§

Install Instructions
1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
