It's taken quite a while, but I've finally got the steps from Bon Voyage recolorable. Once you replace the textures they actually look quite nice as stairs. The stairs are one recolorable subset and the railing/wall is another. I set it up this way based on the way the texture and mesh is mapped.




Technical Stuff
  • There is a bit of weirdness with the railings. When you use the railing tool to remove the railings, the rail/wall color resets to the default. Not a huge issue as it recolors again fine.
  • The wall/railing texture is small (256x256) and really needs to be a tileable image.

Installation!
The zip contains two files:

HL_stairscasePyrmaidRECOLORABLE-programFiles - Install this in C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Catalog\zCEP-EXTRA.
