Picket Fences! Part 64


The wedding of Jennifer Custer and Nicholas Carras took place Saturday afternoon . . .


At Buford Falls Church.

The groom's parents Marco and Gina Carras.

Gwen Spain and her son Jacob were in attendance.

The groom and his best man (his brother Tony Carras) stood at the alter awaiting the bride.


Bridesmaid Marisa Bendett, the bride's best friend entered the church.

The bride entered the church . . .

And joined her groom under the pink flowered wedding arch.

"No ceremony can create a marriage. What a ceremony can do is whitness and affirm the choice to stand together as life mates and partners. "

"So I ask now, Nick, do you take this woman to be your wedded wife?",
said Rev. Michael Spain, minister of the church.


" I do", Nick said.

"Jennifer, do you take this man to be your wedded husband?", he asked.
"I do", she said.

Nick held up a plain gold wedding band . . .

As he placed it on Jennifer's finger he said "I give you this ring, as a daily reminder of my love and lifelong commitment to you."

Jennifer placed a matching gold wedding band on Nick's finger and said "I give you this ring, as a daily reminder of my love and lifelong commitment to you."


"It is with great honor and by the power of your love and commitment and by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife", said the pastor, "Nick, you may kiss your bride.".

Then Nick gave Jennifer a romantic kiss.

"I now present to you Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Carras", Rev. Woods announced.

Jennifer cut the wedding cake and fed the first slice to Nick with a fork.



Nick's father proposed a toast to the newlyweds. Nick and Jennifer and Gwen joined in.

Nick's brother Tony proposed a toast to the newlyweds.

Jennifer, Nick and Marisa joined in.
