Tasia noticed Brandy's hesitation.
"I will look after him Brandy. You go and do what you
need to do," said Tasia.
She recognized the pee-pee
dance her friend was doing.




"Thanks Tasia, I will be right back. Please keep a eye on him."



But no sooner did Brandy let go of Beau -




he disappeared, right into thin air in front of everyone............. He just vanished.........










'Oh great, this is all we need,' Dustin was thinking to himself, while
he looked around for his little brother. He was trying not to panic and
wondered if anyone else had noticed that his little brother had just
disappeared into thin air.





Brandy was surprisingly calm when Beau disappeared. She was
calm because the second that he disappeared, she found that she
could hear his thoughts in her head.




And she knew just where to find him.



There he is.
'How in the heck did you get all the way over here so
quickly Beau?' Brandy thought, as she calmly walked
over to her three year old.





"I flied Mommy!," said Beau, as he chewed on his car.



"Yes, you certainly did something", she thought in her head.
"Beau, can you hear Mommy?," she thought to her son.
"Yes, Mommy, I hear you."
"Beau, you scared Mommy. Please don't do that again," she thought
to him.
"OK Mommy, Beau no fly now," Beau thought back to her.



"Well, there's the little guy. He sure is a quick one," said Jeremy Miles.



"Come on, Valery. Let's go get some of that birthday cake; it looks
delicious."
Everybody else at the party seemed to think that was a good idea too,
and soon everybody was eating cake.




Nobody really seemed to notice that Beau had disappeared
and reappeared in a different place. It was like everyone had
kind of forgotten it, as soon as it happened.



The party just continued, as if nothing had happened, and nobody
thought anything was strange.



Beau went on being a normal, curious, little three year-old.



Jeremy was no fool and was very observant to certain situations,
and this was one of them.He made it a point to sit with the two children.
He had heard what they
said to Brandy and he wanted to know what they would tell him.
"We told Brandy that her baby has magic powers," said the little boy to Jeremy.
"Beau does too," said the little girl, as she climbed into her chair and settled
to eat the huge slice of cake.
"So you mean the baby in her belly has magic powers also?" asked Jeremy.
"Oh yes," said the little girl, "He is very special, but not the baby that is
dead. He is just dead." And then she started to eat her cake, just like
any other little girl at a birthday party.



Dustin and Sarah danced with each other for the next three songs.



Valery was noticeably getting a bit jealous.
"Val, are you ok?," her
father, Officer Tucker asked her. He knew she was interested in Dustin
and it was hard to watch her get jealous, before there was even anything
to be jealous about.




"I'm fine Dad," she said with large, round, blue eyes that told another story.




The party for the three year-old went so well, that it ran late into the night. The neighbors
complained, and the police showed up,and broke up the party. Rats! Just
when it was getting good, too.



"That was a great party," said Tasia, before she left. "I had a wonderful
time. Sorry Turok could not make it, but you know he had to work."
"No problem. Let him know that he was missed, and Beau loved the
gifts y'all gave him. Did you get a piece of cake for him?" asked Brandy.
"I sure did; that cake turned out really well. You are a very good cook," Tasia complimented her.
"Thank you, Tasia and thank you so much for all the work you did helping
to get everything ready for the party. You were a huge help."
"I love throwing parties. I will give you a call tomorrow," said Tasia,
and she gave her friend a hug goodbye.
