The Brandy Broke Story, Part 24
December 10, 2011
Welcome Back.
Thought I would start this part with a Smile.... *drooool*
Thanks Heather for making Turock's clothes!
"There now, all better," Nurse Gretchen continued to encourage Brandy.
"Now you call me if you need anything, OK?" Nurse Gretchen said.
"Thank you," Brandy said, feeling greatly comforted in her time of grief.
"I think I will take a nap." Brandy suddenly was very tired and
emotionally drained.
Brandy got back into bed, and Nurse Gretchen turned down the lights
on her way out. Little did Brandy know but
something else had felt her
sorrow and grief.
She had no idea who or what was so terribly close to her and her living baby.
Later that afternoon, Nurse Gretchen came back to check on her patients, Brandy and baby.
The nurse's phone rang and she answered it right away.
Nurse Gretchen knew the caller on the other end; it was her
little sister Susan.
"Susan honey, calm down - Susan you have got to calm down," she
insisted.
"Honey, I know, but that was a month ago. You have got to try harder to
put this behind you," she said quietly, and calmly into the phone, trying
not to disturb her patient during this unexpected call.
"Susan, hush now she said calmly. I am off work in two hours. You
wanna go out for some pizza after work? OK then, that sounds good."
Nurse Gretchen calmed her sister down.
Susan was upset because today marked the one month anniversary of
Nurse Amy's Mysterious Death at the Hospital.
Susan had watched
the whole bizarre scene as Nurse Amy died in front of her out in the parking
lot. The coroners has said she officially died of blood loss . But the coroner
also said that she seemed to also die of fright.
His findings were inconclusive without further investigation.
Officially, she died of blood loss from a freak accident.
Nurse Susan would just have to stop herself from thinking about the
last few moments of Nurse Anna's life.
She remembered over and over that
Nurse Anna was covered in blood, and Nurse Anna seemed to be trying
so desperately to tell her something. It had been haunting Susan for weeks.
Nurse Gretchen tried to hang up the
phone quietly, but as soon as she did the baby gave a small
"whhhaaaa!!", and woke up Brandy who had not really been
asleep anyway.
"Was that your sister who you were on the phone with just now?" Brandy
asked Nurse Gretchen, when she came closer.
"Yes, we had a death among our staff here one month ago today, and
she was a witness to it. It really freaked her out.
"I remember that - it was on the
news about the nurse, the next day after I had my first meeting with
Dr.Banks. I knew who she was, I mean I had seen her working here
before. She seemed very nice."
"Yes, we were all shocked by the sudden loss of such a good friend,"
replied Nurse Gretchen, almost absentmindedly.
To be continued...
