When Coral Davis looked her only child in the eyes, she just hugged her more closely again.
Brandy sobbed in her mothers arms for joy and stress relief.
"I am so glad you are here!"she cried into her mothers shoulder soaking it with tears.
"I'm here now honey, I am so sorry we have been gone for so long, her mother cried for joy right back at her.

Brandy's dad Herb Davis, finally managed to park the car and get out
to greet his only child after such a long absence in her life.

"Dad, I have missed you so much !" Brandy said as she received her fathers hug. He looked not much older than the last time she had seen him , he was in his late 70's now. When he hugged her, she felt not fragility or weakness in him, but muscles and a mutual gratitude to be in each others arms again. Herb had missed his daughter and for a long time, he thought that he would never see her again. And tears streaked down his face.

It was a happy reunion and they both had so much to tell each other.

Herb went to go and park the car, and Brandy and Coral went into the house.
Beau was standing in the doorway crying for mommy. It made Coral laugh to meet her
2nd grandson for the first time this way.

joke as they gave each other a good warm hug.

"Well, lets go inside and catch up on old times and new times," suggested Grandpa Herb.

Grandma Coral was already in the Kitchen. Brandy was busy with
Beau who needed a quick bath, he could not get to his potty
chair in time and had a messy accident.
Coral was a chef in the kitchen she could make plain old
scrambled eggs taste like heaven.

Brandy came into the kitchen with Beau all clean and excited to be done with his bath.
"So when does Skip get off work?, Coral asked Brandy while she busied herself in the kitchen. "I know Herb is just dying to talk to him and catch up on things."
"Oh, never mind, I see him now," said Coral while looking out of the window.

"Hello Skip," Coral waved to him from the window.
When Skip suddenly disappeared, Coral hardly batted a eye.
" Brandy, where is your husband?" She asked her daughter in a curious tone.
"I wish I knew mom, he has been missing for 8 months now," Brandy sobbed. She was sitting at the kitchen table and combing Beau's hair. He was squirming and wiggling and finally got away. Brandy was combing too hard and was distracted.
Coral stopped what she was doing and went to go and comfort her daughter.
"What has happened?" She hugged Brandy and found herself choking up with tears seeing her daughter in so much emotional pain.
"Hold on honey , I need to get your dad so you can tell us both at the same time."
Coral found Dustin and Herb on their way in. When Herb looked at Coral's face he knew immediately something was wrong. Dustin also knew by the look on his Grandmothers face that it was time for a Family Meeting.
Dustin hugged his mother who looked a emotional wreck and gave her a nice squeeze as he greeted her.
They all sat around the kitchen table and Brandy and Dustin began to tell them all about the last 8 months.
How one day Skip just never came home from work.They never suspected foul play because everybody liked Skip.
Brandy did not suspect a lover because everything was fine between them.
"But what about the ghost of Skip, I just seen him by the window? Have you seen him too?" asked Coral.
"When Skip brings the paper?" Coral pursued her question with raised eyebrows and crossed arms.

"Grandma, you seen him to?"
"Ah, so you have seen him," Coral declared. "How about you Brandy?" she asked her daughter.
Brandy shook her head yes, and took a sip of the hot tea her mother had just given her.
"I feel left out," complained Herb lightening the mood. "Well, Skip is my favorite son-in-law and I should of been the first to see his ghost. Hmmpp he crossed his arms.
Brandy felt the baby kicking inside of her and she remembered another thing she needed to tell her mother.
Both Herb and Coral were moved to tears as Brandy told them of the complications with the twins that she was pregnant with. Brandy tried not to think about that fact that inside of her, one of her babies was dead.
Brandy made it clear to her mother and father that she was concentrating on the living twin and trying not to think about its non living sibling. Much to Brandy and Dustin's relief Coral and Herb said they would help out with what ever needed to be done when the time comes.

Beau was playing with his red fire truck down by his Grandpa's feet. Herb reached down to touch the top of his Grandson Beau's head and Beau suddenly disappeared and reappeared over by the T.V.
"Fast little guy aint he?" Grandpa Herb laughed to Dustin.
"I bet he keeps the nanny on her toes," Herb laughed some more.
