However Sir Michel was less than kind to his poor wife. He blamed her for the loss of his first born and then added.
"But then after all is said and done it was only a girl - useless like all females. What I need, what you will provide me with as a proper wife should is a son, a real heir!"

Over time he became cold to her and then as the years passed and they remained childess his coldness grew to hatred and abuse. He blamed her for what he saw as her failure as a woman and deception in marrying him.

Soon Alessia became almost a recluse - a prisoner in a guilded cage where even the household servants openly showed their hatred towards her. The servants were loyal to the Master of the house - Sir Michel, for the woman who had disappointed and failed him they had no pity, no remorse and no kindness.
