As the sounds of Deaths laughter echoed through the cellar the house itself shuddered. All windows and doors leading to the outside closed with a final bang, trapping all within.
Screams and the sound of begging could be heard for several minutes that almost seemed to stretch into hours. Then the sound of dripping, a noise as if something moving through thick liquid and then silence.
Finally only the buzzing of flies could be heard....

Several days later Inspectors from the State Health Service visited the clinic, they had heard nothing for over a week. When the Inspection crew arrived they found the doors jammed shut.
Getting professionals to enter the house they found unimaginable horror. Most of the staff and patients were gone, those that remained were dead, frozen in death, fear on their faces. Blood both still congealing and long dried stained the floors of all rooms. Nowhere had been spared, not the main entry hall, not the patient dining room, not the patients bed chambers. Human remains were left in piles half eaten by the flies and rats. The remains were all removed and given Christian burial.
Calstone Psychiatric Clinic was officially closed although the owner Dr Sebastien Cale himself was never found, alive or dead.
Sometimes people passing by would swear they could hear cries of pain coming from the house and it gained a reputation as a place of evil. Unwanted, abandoned and left to decay.
Calstone House would not see another living person until the year of 1969 - several decades after the closure of the clinic...

So ends part 2 of the History of Calstone Guest House. Private home to clinic and towards its ultimate end. The spirits of those effected by the owners of the house still trapped within its walls and foundations...
