Outside the night air was still warm and humid, her nightgown felt almost heavy on her but she enjoyed the coolness of the damp grass on her bare feet.

The house in all its splendour loomed behind her and the perfume of the roses filled her senses. A smile crossed her lips, a smile that was quickly killed by the scream that filled the air once more - a scream that seemed to be coming from the roses...

Moving to a spot where the gardener was to replant some roses she knelt in the damp grass, in the brick foundations of the house were windows. The glass in one of the windows was broken hence why she could hear the voice.

The scream had come from inside her own home!
