She had been plain Elinor Maxwell, only daughter of a mostly absent mother. 20 years old still dressing her hair in braids and wearing clothes a few years out of date. When she and her mother had moved to the city it had come as a shock to her. A few days later she turned 21 and entered the city University for the first time.

She was almost immediately an outcast, her hair and out of date clothing plus her country accent pushed her away from her peers. More importantly away from the Queen B of the University Sarah McLanders who used every opportunity to mock Elinors clothing, voice, everything about her.

Therefore it came as a surprise to Elinor when a month after arriving in the city Sarah knocked on her door. Sarah was a pretty blonde wearing the latest fashions, her blonde hair highlighted and curling artistically down her back. Smiling at Elinor she entered the house.
