Everything had changed, Dr Sebastien was no longer standing in front of her, the room was no longer in any way the beautiful room it had been. The panelling was now rotting and decayed, the floor the same.
In place of the luxurious sofa was what to her dismay seemed to be a guillotine, and the chair....
The chair seemed to be a machine of torture. Dark wood and iron, spikes poking from the back rest and seat of the chair. Manacles to bind ankle and wrists to the chair. But the worst was the chairs occupant, Dr Sebastien - the man was fixed to the chair by an iron band that afixed just below his throat. Even the air was spoilt, the smell of bad meat and mustiness had returned.
Moving to see if she could aid the Doctor she cried out, his clothing was torn, streaked with what she recognised as still fresh blood his face battered and torn, his eyes leaked tears of blood.
He turned to face her his lips parched
'You cannot help me, you cannot even help yourself. This is the fate for all who dwell here.'
Hearing his words she screamed and ran from the room back to the passage beyond...
