Over time the amount of personal belongings from 'missing' guests grew. Not just suitcases but books, and other personal belongings that Elinor had to remove from the rooms.



The spirits fed well and often, taking only those that would not be overtly missed. They ensured that officially the guests had departed the Hotel in good health. As credit cards became more widespread the costs were taken easier and there were never complications with the authorities.

Elinor was always able to prove that the guests had signed out and as the hotel only took payment when a guest left the financial records showed that the guests had paid That they were not seen again was something that could not be linked to the guest house.

However the house began to gain a reputation with the surrounding neighbours and it became more and more secluded.
